Today’s dish is brought to you courtesy of ohmy, a relatively new artist on the infamous Dim Mak record label. A lot of producers these days have been creating songs that showcase multiple aspects of the EDM genre; bass-house tracks that turn into dubstep halfway through, trap songs that suddenly go hardstyle the second drop, you get the idea. I think it’s a pretty cool concept, and when done right, makes for a very engaging listening experience. In their new track ‘doap’, ohmy deftly weave a future-bass intro into a heavyweight trap banger, which then unwinds subtly into a chilled-out ending. Check it out.
